Fremont Public Schools to Provide Grab & Go Meals for Children, Beginning March 23

FREMONT – School is out of session for an indefinite period of time, but all Fremont children will still have access to breakfast and lunch as Fremont Public Schools launches its “Grab & Go” free meals, starting March 23rd.

The USDA has opened up the “summer feeding” program to allow the school system’s nutrition services program to help feed children who rely on access to school breakfast and lunches. The meal program will be open to all Fremont children, age 1 to 18 years of age. No IDs or proof of eligibility for free and reduced lunches will be required. Guidelines do stipulate that children be present to receive their meals.

The meals will be available Monday through Friday, 10AM to 1PM, while supplies last. The program will go on for as long as school is out of session due to the COVID-19 virus. Kids will be given one breakfast and one lunch each, per day.

Pick up locations are:

  • Washington Elementary School – 515 S Broad Street
  • Bell Field Elementary School – 1240 E 11th St
  • Linden Elementary School – 735 W Linden (Southeast parking lot)
