Fremont Police Investigate Two Property Damage Incidents

FREMONT – Police investigated two separate property damage incidents on Tuesday, with one report remaining under investigation and a DUI arrest made in the second.

Just after 3PM on Tuesday, police investigated a damage to property complaint, made at a business in the 500 block of north Main Street.  It was reported someone damaged a window to the business by hitting it with some type of unknown projectile.  Damage is estimated at $500.00 and the investigation is ongoing.

A few hours later, around 7PM, police responded to the scene of a property damage accident involving a motorcycle near 1st and Main streets. When police arrived, the motorcyclist was visibly impaired and it was discovered that the man was under the influence of alcohol. Police arrested Charles M. Bahrs, 60 of Fremont on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol as a result. No injuries were sustained in the accident.
