FREMONT, NE- The Fremont Moo of the Expedition League released their 2019 schedule on Thursday. It will be their Inaugural season as a new member of the league.
The first game in franchise history is a road game on Friday, May 24 in Hastings, NE against the Hastings Sodbusters. The Inaugural season home opener will be on Friday, May 31 in Fremont at Moller Field also against the Hastings Sodbusters.
The home opener will kick off a 7 game homestand when the Moo will play 3 games against the Sodbusters followed by 2 game sets against the Western Nebraska Pioneers and the Hub City Hot Shots.
The schedule is highlighted by two separate 7 game road trips and a stretch when the Moo will play at home 13 out of 15 days.
June 14-20 is the first 7 game road trip as the Moo heads to Pierre, SD to play the Trappers for 3 games followed by a 2 game set in Dickinson, ND against the Badlands Big Sticks. The trip concludes with 2 games in Aberdeen, SD to play the Hub City Hot Shots.
The second 7 game road trip begins on July 26 in Casper, WY with a 4 game set against the Casper Horseheads followed by 2 games in Pierre, SD against the Trappers and then 1 game in Gering, NE against the Western Nebraska Pioneers.
From July 6 through July 24, the Moo will play 13 home games. The home stretch will conclude with a visit for the first time by the Souris Valley Sabre Dogs from Minot, ND.
The 2019 Expedition League All Star Game will take place on July 16 at Corbett Field in Minot, ND. The day before the game will be an All-Star Fanfest.
Expedition League Playoffs will run from August 7-11, with the Division Series played on the 7th. Games 1 and 2 of the League Championship Series will be played on August 9 and 10, with Game 3 being played on August 11, if necessary.
