Fremont Man Arrested and Charged After Threatening Woman With Loaded Firearm

FREMONT – A Fremont man was arrested and charged with several felonies after assaulting his ex-girlfriend and threatening her with a loaded firearm this weekend.

On Saturday, March 31st at approximately 10:00AM, Fremont Police responded to the scene of an assault. A woman reported she was physically assaulted by an ex-boyfriend at his residence in the 400 block of east Linden Street.  The woman reported that an argument ensued, during which time the man pointed a loaded gun at her. The man, Ryan T. Brooks of Fremont, reportedly punched and bit her.

Fremont Police investigated, and the woman had injuries consistent with her report.  As a result of the investigation Brooks, 32, was arrested and charged with 3rd Degree Domestic Assault, 1st Degree False Imprisonment, Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony, and Terroristic Threats.
