Fremont Chamber Announces Business of the Year Winners

FREMONT – The Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce recognized nine business of the year finalists at their 140th Annual Banquet. The categories are Large Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year and Workforce Game Changer. Each overall winner in their category was revealed at the banquet on Friday, February 7.

The winner of the Large Business of the Year Award was Sawyer Construction and it was accepted by Tom Sawyer. Big Red Keno and Charlie Diers Ford Lincoln were the other finalists. The Large Business of the Year Award is dedicated to recognizing businesses with greater than 25 employees that provide innovative products and services, continued growth and economic support of the Fremont community.

Juice Stop took home the Small Business of the Year Award. First Lutheran Church and Pearl Academy were the other finalists. Scott and Christina Meyer accepted the award. The Small Business of the Year Award is dedicated to recognizing businesses with fewer than 25 employees that provide innovative products and services, continued growth and economic support of the Fremont community.

Finally, Lincoln Premium Poultry won the Workforce Game Changer Award. Jessica Kolterman accepted the award. The other finalists were Fremont Electric and WholeStone Farms. The Workforce Game Changer Award is dedicated to recognizing businesses that provide an innovative and supportive work environment and involvement in the engagement, development and growth of employees.
