Fremont Bull Riding Classic Postponed Due to Virus Concerns

FREMONT – A big spring event has been postponed due to concerns relating to the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Darla Garretson with the Fremont Bull Riding Classic announced on Tuesday night that the April 3rd & 4th event is officially postponed. “It is with deepest regret that we must announce the postponement of the Fremont Bull Riding Classic scheduled for April 3rd and 4th,” said Garretson.

“Due to recent events in our nation,” she continued, “the committee felt it is in the best interest and safety of our beloved community to postpone the annual Bull Riding event.”

A rescheduled date has not been announced or chosen, but the FBRC committee does hope to have have another event in the near future.

“We remain committed to our mission of providing funding for improvement projects at Christensen Field,” Garretson said, “and look forward to seeing everyone at our next event.”

Jerrod Niemann, Dustin Evans and Down Memory Lane were originally scheduled to perform at this year’s Bull Riding Classic. “We were very fortunate to have such an outstanding group of performers available,” Garretson said, “and hope we will be able to bring them to Fremont very soon.”
