FREMONT – The Fremont City Auditorium is in need of a major face lift, and if the bond issue on May 15th’s ballot passes, it could be getting one. The plans for renovation are fairly extensive, especially on the main floor area of the space.
This plan, provided to us by Kim Koski, Director of Parks & Recreation for the City of Fremont, shows the creation of a banquet hall space in the auditorium and the addition of main floor/ADA accessible bathrooms. The plans include an update to the existing community room and an additional meeting room.
Furthermore, the $2 million bond would pay for updates to the kitchen to create a more practical working space for caterers. It would also pay for work on the acoustics and to refurbish the floors.
