FPD Tracks Down Stolen Vehicle, Still Looking for Another

FREMONT – The Fremont Police Department received two stolen vehicle calls on Tuesday and are still trying to find one of them.

Officers are looking for a stolen red 1998 Honda Accord bearing Nebraska license plates 5-B6494. It was taken from a residence in the 400 block of west Jefferson Road Tuesday morning. It had been left running and unlocked outside the residence when it was taken.

Around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday,  Adam A. Jarzynka, 21, of Lincoln was arrested on suspicion of Theft by Unlawful Taking of a motor vehicle following a complaint of a stolen vehicle from a business in the 800 block of south Broad Street. It was reported that a 2011 Ford Mustang was left running and unlocked outside the business. Jarzynka allegedly took the car and drove north on Broad Street.

Deputies from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department began a pursuit after they saw the car. Jarzynka crashed on Highway 77 near Winslow and was taken into custody. Damage estimates for the Mustang are unavailable at this time.
