FPD Searching for Suspect After Midday Bank Robbery

FREMONT – The Fremont Police Department are searching for a suspected bank robber who victimized a local bank and fled the scene today.

At approximately 1:50PM today, Thursday November 21st, officers from the Fremont Police Department were dispatched to the First State Bank and Trust branch located at 225 N. Main Street for a reported robbery.

A suspect described as a tall white male, bald, with glasses entered the bank, displayed a weapon and then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.  He was seen getting into a blue 4-door car and leaving the scene.  No customers were in the bank at the time of the incident and no employees were injured.

The investigation is ongoing with Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the III CORPS Drug Task Force and the Fremont Police Detective Bureau.
