FPD Reports Continued Thefts From Vehicles; Disturbance Tuesday Night

FREMONT – Overnight thefts from parked vehicles continue to be reported on Fremont’s west side.

Yesterday, Fremont Police received two such reports.  The first report was made from a residence in the 500 block of north M Street, and the second report came from a residence in the 200 block of north Schuyler Avenue. Both victims reported that someone entered their vehicles while they were parked in the driveway or street in front of the residence. Cash, personal items and various forms of ID were taken.

Also in police news from Tuesday:

At approximately 10:00PM police received a report of a disturbance in the 400 block of west 21st street. A man had allegedly attempted to unlawfully enter an occupied vehicle. The vehicle’s operator then drove away, but the man reportedly rode atop the vehicle. Police had contact with Allen J. Farrand, 31, of Fremont, who showed signs of intoxication and used profanity in the presence of officers. Police then arrested Farrand on suspicion of Criminal Mischief, Disturbing the Peace, Disorderly Conduct and Unlawful Riding on a Vehicle.
