FPD Releases Local “Click It” Results for Fremont

FREMONT – Policing agencies throughout the state of Nebraska took part in the nationwide “Click It or Ticket” initiative around Memorial Day weekend, and the Fremont Police department was no exception.

The department applied for and received a grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety for overtime traffic enforcement, and Fremont Police provided a total of eighteen officers who worked 102 overtime hours between May 20 – June 2, 2019.

Those Fremont officers had contact with a total of 304 vehicles, making 66 total citations and 10 arrests.

  • 4 Arrests for DWI
  • 3 Driving Under Suspension Citations
  • 9 Citations for Uninsured Motorist
  • 4 Felony Arrests
  • 2 Fugitives Apprehended
  • 1 Minor in Possession of Alcohol Citation
  • 9 Safety Belt Citations

“Agencies from across the State of Nebraska participated,” said Lieutenant Ed Watts, “and we are proud to have done our part.”
