FREMONT – Fremont Police were able to resolve a missing person case and an outstanding warrant last night, after a concerned citizen called in a complaint about suspicious behavior in their neighborhood.
Thursday evening, officers responded to the concerned caller’s tip regarding a young man loitering in the 700 block of Empire Avenue. When officers arrived, they recognized the teen as a 16 year old male who had been reported as a runaway over a month ago. The young man also had a warrant out for his arrest, stemming from charges in Richardson County. Officers approached the teen, who immediately took off running.
Officers established a perimeter around the area he was last seen, and with the help of the Fremont Detectives Bureau and III CORPS, they were able to take the juvenile into custody without incident.
