FREMONT – On Wednesday, February 12, the Fremont Police Department received a call for a hit and run property damage accident around 9 a.m.
The report came from a residence in the 1200 block of north Somers Avenue. An unknown vehicle struck a wooden privacy fence around the residence sometime between 6:20 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. The driver of the vehicle left the scene. Damage is estimated at $1,000.
Shortly after the first call, the FPD responded to a hit and run property damage accident around 9:20 a.m. The accident was reported at a residence in the 200 block of south Bell Street.
Sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. the victim’s vehicle, while parked on the street and unattended, was struck by a second vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle left the scene. Damage estimates to the victim’s vehicle are unknown at this time.

On Wednesday, around 10:35 a.m., a theft of property complaint was made at a construction site in the 3000 block of north Howard Street. A Dewalt brand circular saw was reported as stolen and is valued at $100.
Also on Wednesday, at approximately 1:35 p.m., a theft of property complaint was made at a business in the 700 block of Factory Street. Reported stolen was a catalytic converter valued at $200.
