FPD Cites Two Juveniles, Arrests One After Weekend Incidents

FREMONT – Three young men found themselves on the wrong side of the law this weekend after some poor decision making landed them in hot water.

On Friday 01/11/2019 at approximately 3:25PM a 16-year-old male was cited on suspicion of leaving the scene of a property damage accident following a hit and run complaint in the 1700 block of north Lincoln Street.  He is accused of striking a parked car and then leaving the scene without leaving any identification. Damage to the victim’s 2004 Honda Pilot is estimated at $500.00.  Damage to the suspect’s 2008 Jeep is also estimated at $500.00.

On Saturday 01/12/2019 at approximately 8:30PM an 18-year-old male of Fremont was cited on suspicion of willful reckless driving following an accident investigation in the parking lot of a business in the 3000 block of east 23rd Avenue North.  The young man is accused of spinning “cookies” and losing control of his vehicle and striking a sign and post.  Damage to the sign and post is estimated at $500.00.  Damage to the suspect’s 2006 Chevrolet Silverado is estimated at $5000.00.

On Sunday 01/13/2019 at approximately 4:40AM a 17-year-old male from Lincoln, NE was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct and being a minor in possession following a disturbance complaint at a residence in the 1700 block of north Keene Avenue.  The male is accused of banging on the door of a residence where he was not staying nor invited to be at.  When officers arrived the male appeared to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.  The male was taken into custody and was belligerent to arresting officers, using racial slurs towards them and threatening them with bodily harm.  The male was eventually taken to Lincoln and released to his mother.
