FREMONT – This weekend, head to 8th & Broad street in Fremont to grab a tasty and unique treat from one of seven Omaha-famous food trucks to raise funds for flood relief.
The Keene Memorial Library and nonprofit group Friends of the Keene Memorial Library are hosting a Food Truck Rally this Sunday, April 7, from 12PM to 3PM. The rally will feature favorite festival food trucks like Well Seasoned, Dire Lion, Taste of New Orleans, Orange Leaf, Chaima’s African Cuisine and Johnny Ricco’s Brooklyn Pizza. Each truck will be accepting donations in exchange for their traveling treats, and donation pails will be located at each truck.
Donations of any amount are welcome, and the proceeds from the rally will be handled by the Friends Of Keene Memorial Library, who have established a flood relief fund separate from their normal funds. All proceeds will benefit those affected by the flood.
The seven visiting food trucks are all members of the Omaha Food Truck Association. The Food Truck Rally will be in the parking lot at 747 N Broad St in the parking lot across the street from Kwik Shop. Customers are encouraged to bring cash, though the rally will also accept donations by check and donated items, such as water and cleaning supplies. (Clothing donations will not be accepted.)
