FREMONT – Originally slated for this weekend, the two-day music festival “Flood Aid 2019,” has been postponed until further notice, with organizers looking into 2020 dates.
The primary reason the organization gave for the postponement is something Nebraskans have been struggling with all year: the weather. “We have been watching the weather report hourly for a week,” according to a statement the group gave on Facebook. “It continues to fluctuate, with a strong chance of rain each day. After thorough consideration, it has been decided that it is in the best interest to move the event to another date.”
Organizers of the event say that all ticket purchases will transfer over to the new date. “We are currently exploring dates in June of 2020,” they said in a Facebook post. Other possible changes include moving to an indoor venue in February 2020. “We apologize for any inconvenience. We will be reaching out personally to our sponsors, entertainers, [and] vendors to talk with them about what 2020 looks like.”
