Fremont Rural Fire Department was called to a fire on East Gate Road at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16. The firefighters arrived on scene to find a machine shed that was partially engulfed by flames.
The Fremont Rural Fire Department received tankers and help of other firefighters from the Arlington Fire Department. Additionally, the City of Fremont rescue squad was present and on standby.
According to Fremont Rural Fire Department Fire Chief, Wade McPherson, there was nobody home when the fire took place and nobody was hurt. The fire was accidental, but the causes of the fire are still under investigation.
McPherson also said the structure is salvageable. The fire was extinguished quickly, which minimized damaged to the structure. One of the campers near the shed was damaged, but the other camper remained intact.
