FREMONT – The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) has taken two costly property damage and theft reports recently, and they’re reaching out to the public for information.
The DCSO recently took a report of theft from a construction trailer at a construction site on County Road 6, one-half mile south of County Road L in Dodge County. The theft occurred sometime between 12-20-18 & 01-03-19. Several tools were taken, to include a Stihl chop saw and chain saw, DeWalt saws, drills and grinders, a Sokkia transit and level, a Bosch hammer drill, three chipping hammers, a sight pole, four 1-volt batteries and charger and an 18-volt grease gun battery. The total loss was estimated at $10,600.
A DCSO deputy also took a criminal mischief report this week regarding damaged mailboxes in the area of Meadowbrook Trailer Park, 5776 W. Hwy. 30, Fremont. The damage is believed to have occurred during the late evening hours of Friday, 01-04-19. Two large, “main mailboxes” were struck and damaged by a vehicle. Each set of mailboxes was valued at $1,600, for a total loss of $3,200.
