FREMONT – The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the Nebraska State Patrol began searching for a man around 7:35 a.m. on Friday. Officers met in the area of Highway 275 and the Dodge-Douglas County Line. Over 10 patrol cars and NSP Aviation were on the scene.
The man involved is tied to a crash and stolen vehicle report that officers received. The DCSO stated that the suspect was possibly armed.
Shortly after 9:30 a.m., officials announced the scene had been secured. As of 11:10 a.m., the DCSO is still searching for one of the subjects from the vehicle and more information on the incident.
As of 5 p.m. on Friday, January 3rd, local authorities were advising concerned citizens that they believe the suspect to have fled the Fremont area entirely.
The investigation is still considered to be active and the Fremont Police are focused on the stolen car.
