FREMONT – Many in the community are still trying to rebuild and recover from the March floods. Tonight, there will be two community informational meetings held at Fremont High School to answer some of the most common questions.
Two meetings, one in English and one in Spanish, will be held simultaneously at the Fremont High gyms this evening at 7PM. First on the agenda will be mold removal and remediation. Mold is a serious health and structural concern, and proper removal and treatment are of paramount importance as people move back into their homes after flooding.
Another topic this evening will be rebuilding. Officials will go through the process of assessing damage, obtaining repair estimates and property valuations, and finally, of obtaining a building permit from the City.
All members of the community who were affected by flooding are invited to attend the meetings tonight; please enter through the doors at the northwest corner of the high school near Lincoln Avenue & 19th Streets.
