City’s Newest Green Initiatives to be Dedicated in October

FREMONT – The City of Fremont has been working steadily toward several green initiatives over the last two years, the latest of which will be formally dedicated in two weeks.

The City of Fremont will host a dedication for Solar Farm #2, the electric vehicle charging stations, and their new plug-in hybrid vehicles on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 10:00A. The dedication ceremony will be held at Solar Farm #2, located at 3851 East Hills Farm Road, near the intersection of Old Hwy 275 and Hills Farm Road.

The City received grant funding from the Nebraska Environmental Trust for the solar farm, vehicles and charging stations through Nebraska Community Energy Alliance. Members from both entities will be in attendance for the dedication. The public is invited to attend.
