FREMONT – Summer may be drawing to a close, but construction season is far from over. Several pavement rehab projects will begin around Fremont, with two projects starting next week.
The City of Fremont’s public works department gave residents and businesses notice today about four planned pavement projects that will begin with demolition of the current pavement as early as Monday, August 27th for an area on Hancock Street from 19th Street to 20th Street.
Then, on Tuesday, September 4th, three other pavement projects will get underway.
- 16th Street Round-About at Johnson Road & Diers Parkway
- Milton Road, North of 23rd St between Tractor Supply & Walmart
- Austin Lane & Irene Street Intersection
The majority of the demolition and construction will be done during the daytime, and Sawyer Construction Co, who is the contractor on the project, will coordinate with the City of Fremont with respect to local noise ordinances and temporary traffic disruptions that may occur.
“We regret that traffic flow will be affected and access to you may at times be impaired during construction,” the Public Works Department stated. “We will do our best to keep any inconveniences to you at a minimum.”
Please inform the Public Works Department by calling (402) 727-2638 if you have needs that require uninterrupted or special access.
