FREMONT – Bell Street in Fremont is about to be torn up. The focus is on a short portion of Bell, near Arby’s, where the storm sewer line, or culvert, beneath the street has continued to collapse, causing the roadway to sink.
City Administrator, Brian Newton, offered a “heads up” when he talked with Bob Flittie Monday:
Newton isn’t yet certain what the cause is:
And he says a decision will be made shortly about whether to just close a short portion of Bell, or cut off truck traffic to Bell at 23rd and at 16th.
