FREMONT – The results of Archbishop Bergan Catholic School’s biggest annual fundraising event have come in.
The Knight Event is the largest fundraiser Bergan holds each year. This year for the 24th Knight Event the theme was Knight Under the Big Top. Director of Advancement Bonnie Nebuda states the event was not only a big success, but they saw an increase in attendance and the amount of money they raised.
“We saw an increase in the volunteers from our parents and our students this year. So overall we felt like it was a successful event,” said Nebuda. “We just had our wrap-up meeting this week. We were able to review some of the numbers that have come in. And we do know that we were able to raise roughly $10,000-$13,000 more than we did last year. So we feel like it is a success overall.”
Nebuda says they’re thankful for all of their students, parents, and alumni, as well as the entire Fremont community for their support.
“We would not be able to do this event without the Fremont community, and even reaching into Omaha,” said Nebuda. “We have donors from the west Omaha area as well as from all over the Fremont community in terms of auction items and attendees. Without their generosity we wouldn’t have been successful this year.”
People can also now save the date for the 25th Annual Knight Event, which has been scheduled for November 16th.
