Benefit Will Support Yutan Baby With Leukemia

YUTAN – One of Yutan’s littlest residents needs the support of the community.

Krew Anderson is just a few weeks past his half birthday: six months old. Last month, he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, and he will have to undergo 10 months of chemotherapy cycles. Krew and his parents, Richard and Stephanie, spent the entire month of March in the hospital. Back home, Krew’s grandmother, Shelly Osteloh Anderson and their entire family got to work organizing benefits and fundraisers to help them with their medical bills and other expenditures that will arise from the lengthy hospital stays the family anticipates.

A benefit dinner will be held at the Yutan Country Club on Saturday, April 14th from 4PM to 11PM. In addition to the free will offering for dinner, there will be an expansive auction for items including: Husker season tickets, teeth whitening kit, laser hair removal, smoker, patio umbrellas, outdoor fire pit, premier design jewelry, gift baskets, gift cards, signed memorabilia, 1 hour of flight time, photography sessions.

“We’d personally like to thank everyone for volunteering & all the hard work, time, effort, support, love, prayers, generosity that everyone’s put into making Krew’s benefit the huge success that we know it will be,” said Shelly Osterloh Anderson.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend. All proceeds will go to the family. You can learn more about the event, here.
