Award Winning YA Author to Visit FHS in December

FREMONT –  Fremont High School is pleased to that announce award-winning author, Neal Shusterman, will be visiting the high school on December 12 at 1:00 pm.

Shusterman will be speaking to a group of high school students and signing books. Shusterman is on tour to promote his new book, and the end of the Scythe Series, ‘The Toll’. Shusterman is a well-known and successful Young Adult (YA) novelist, screenwriter and television writer.

Some of Shusterman’s most popular screen and television writings have been on “Goosebumps” and Disney Channel’s Original Movie “Pixel Perfect.” Shusterman’s most popular books include the “Unwind” and “Skinjacker” series, along with a standalone work called “Full Tilt.”

Shusterman recently won a Nebraska Golden Sower Award in the Novel Category for his book “Scythe.”

“Fremont High School is excited to offer this opportunity to our students,” said Hope Pierce, coordinator of communications & public relations for the school district. “Shusterman consistently attributes his love of writing to a high school English teacher. We want to show students they have many career paths available when they graduate.”
