A Fremont Man Has Been Reported Missing

FREMONT – A Fremont man has been reported missing.

According to Lt. Ed Watts with the Fremont Police Department, at approximately 1 p.m. on Wednesday the department received a report of a missing person. 59-year-old Eugene M. Deane of Fremont was last seen at home on Tuesday.

Deane is a white male, 5’4″ tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be driving a red 1999 Ford Ranger pickup with Nebraska commercial licenses plates 5-6090A.

There is no foul play suspected. Anyone with information is asked to call the department at (402) 727-2677.

At approximately 7:50 p.m. 21-year-old Kristopher M. Szabo of Fremont was cited for Possession of Marijuana less than an ounce and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The citation came following a traffic stop in the 700 block of N. H Street. Szabo was observed operating a motor vehicle with no license plates. The officer conducting the stop detected the odor of burnt marijuana, and a search of the vehicle yielded the marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

A passenger in the vehicle, 33-year-old Richard E. Cockrum of Nickerson was also cited for Possession of Marijuana less than one ounce.
