LINCOLN — Nebraska volleyball’s title-winning coach got a raise and an extra year on his contract.
John Cook, who won his fourth national championship with NU last season, now has a deal that runs through the 2022 season. His new base salary is $675,000. Cook signed the contract June 3.
Cook previously made $600,000. His raise comes after Nebraska women’s basketball coach Amy Williams received a bump in base pay to $626,750 after winning Big Ten coach of the year and making the NCAA tournament. Cook also won Big Ten coach of the year in volleyball.
Neither Cook nor Williams make as much as former Nebraska women’s basketball coach Connie Yori made in her final season when her base pay was $732,913.
